I dislike filing papers as much as the next person, but unfortunately it’s a necessary evil. Be diligent about only keeping what is truly necessary. Many people keep receipts or documents that are easily replaceable if needed. This will immediately cut down on the amount of time spent doing this mundane chore. The next step is to find a good system that works for you; some of my clients prefer to file by month, others by category, but whichever method you choose be sure to stick with it.
