If you’ve ever tried to organize a garage you know how overwhelming it can be.

I spend most of my days helping others de-clutter and organize their homes, so finding the time to work on a project in my own home always takes a back seat.

This summer I finally installed a new garage system in my own house thanks to the help from my good friends at Organized Living.

We don’t have a lot of storage space in our basement, nor do we have a useable attic, so all of my seasonal decorations need to be stored in the garage.  Since I only access them once a year, I wanted to maximize the vertical space going up the wall-leaving the floor clear for things like a shop vac, snow blower and generator. I also have several categories that I need accessible such as car supplies, tools, gardening, etc.

Below are some before and after photos from my garage transformation:

50% of homeowners rate the garage as the most disorganized place in the house, the place they delay getting organized, yet it’s a place the entire family uses regularly.

Organized living is offering 25% off their Freedom Rail line though the month of September.

If you’ve been procrastinating on tackling the black hole you call a garage, now is the time to get motivated!

Happy Organizing!
