Hi Friends!

You are in for a special treat today! My sidekick, Erika is back from her summer sabbatical (cue the confetti!)

We catch up about her summer, what it’s like for her transitioning back into a routine after being gone for 2 ½ months, and what’s changed in her life now that she is an empty nester.

So it got me thinking about our topic for today: 

“How do you handle things when you have to pick up the slack for a partner (spouse) or team member who is unavailable for an extended period of time?” 

We all carry so much on our plates to begin with, what happens when we need to work double duty?

This includes, but is not limited to things like:

    • Illness
    • Travel
    • Vacation
    • Personal Leave
    • Maternity Leave
    • Headcount cutbacks
    • Team member resignation 

We unpack questions like

  1.   How do you divide the added labor?
  2.   What gets put on the back burner while you prioritize other tasks?
  3.   Do you give yourself grace or end up frustrated and angry?

Erika and I each talk about our experiences and how we handle life when it throws more at us then we think we can handle.
