Episode 284: Raising Simple with Zoë Kim
Hi Friends,
Joining me today is the creator of the community Raising Simple, and author of the book Minimalism for Families, Zoë Kim. You might remember listening to her husband, Matt Paxton who was my guest on Ep 269. Together they live in Georgia with their combined 7 kids!
During our conversation we talked about how she defines minimalism, and why it’s not the same for everyone.
We talked about the importance of writing down your “why” which needs to be bigger than simply having less stuff.
We talked about the tactical and emotional process she went through in her own journey.
I love how she compares simplifying your life to peeling back layers of an onion–
As you get closer to the center it’s ok to cry.
We talked about removing guilt and shame and looking to the future that you want for yourself and your family.
This is a great conversation that takes a holistic approach to minimalism and I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Make sure to check out the links below everything we talked about on the show.
